Paint fills the recessed or raised sections of a cast emblem so each color reads clearly, while plating or a clear coat still covers the surrounding metal. The paint fill and the plating are planned together so the colors stay separated.

Common sizes
Painted emblems follow the same base sizes as other cast emblems: 40mm, 60mm, 80mm, and 100mm are common, with overall size from 30mm to 120mm. Detailed color layouts usually call for the larger end of that range so each color area stays legible. Custom sizes are cast to your drawing.
Materials & finishes
Zinc alloy and aluminum both take paint fill well after casting. Matte or gloss paint sits in the recessed detail. The raised surface can still be plated or coated in gun-black, gold, rose gold, or matte black PVD. Color placement is confirmed against the artwork before production.
