Adhesive car badges bond to painted panels or plastic trim where drilling isn’t an option.
Description
Some vehicle surfaces can’t take a drilled hole or a stud – painted panels, plastic trim, leased vehicles. Adhesive-backed badges solve that by bonding flat to the surface instead. The back face needs to be flat and the adhesive film sized to the badge outline, which Himgo confirms before production.
Sizes & thickness
Adhesive car badges run thinner than pin- or stud-mounted types, generally 2-3mm overall. Diameters cluster around 40mm, 60mm, and 80mm. VHB adhesive film runs 0.5mm to 1.1mm depending on the surface it bonds to.
Metals and finishes
Zinc alloy or nickel electroforming both work for adhesive mounting since neither needs a drilled hole for a stud. Chrome, black, or brushed finishes are all available; PVD coating is common where a matte-black adhesive badge is wanted without paint.
