Description
A barcode that fades or peels stops doing its job long before the equipment gets retired. Stainless gives the code a body that holds up under repeated washdowns and rough handling — longer than a printed label would. Himgo etches or laser-marks the barcode into 304 or 316 stainless, so the record stays tied to the right unit long after installation.
Build options
304 covers most industrial tracking; 316 suits washdown chemicals or salt air. Etching cuts the barcode into the surface itself; laser marking works faster for high-volume runs. Brushed finish resists showing handling marks between scans. Both grades take the same laser or etched mark.
Common dimensions
50x20mm and 75x25mm are usual, both wide enough to keep barcode bars readable at typical handheld range. Thinner or smaller formats fit tighter mount space. Custom sizes follow a drawing.
