Description
A QR code on an asset tag only works if the laser can hold sharp, square modules at small scale. Aluminum takes laser marking cleanly, so the code stays scannable after the surface is handled or wiped down. That reliability matters most on IT gear and rolling equipment tracked through a phone scan.
Metals & surface options
Aluminum alloy is the usual base for QR tags, kept light for laptops, monitors, and mobile carts. Anodized and matte finishes both give enough contrast for the code to read clearly. Module size gets set against your scanner’s read distance before laser engraving starts.
