Adhesive 3D Metal Emblems
A raised emblem with an adhesive-only back, built for surfaces that can’t take a drilled hole. Backing film is matched to the mounting surface, not applied as an afterthought.
Description
Some surfaces can’t take a drilled hole or a screw. Painted panels, thin plastic housings, and finished appliance fronts are common cases. An adhesive-back 3D emblem solves that. It uses 3M or VHB film instead of mechanical fixing. The raised logo goes on without marking the surface underneath.
Sizes & thickness
Adhesive emblems generally stay in the 30-120mm range. Overall thickness runs 2-5mm, with relief up to 3mm. That keeps the part light enough for the bond to hold. Common formats are 40mm, 60mm, 80mm, and 100mm. Other sizes are cut to your drawing.
Metals and finishes
Zinc alloy keeps the part light enough for adhesive mounting. Aluminum and nickel are used for specific finishes. The back carries adhesive film rated for the mounting surface. The face takes plating, paint, or a PVD coating.
Where buyers use it
- Automotive trim where drilling isn’t an option.
- Appliance and equipment fronts with a painted or coated surface.
- Motorcycle panels and fairings with thin-wall plastic.
- Retrofits onto an existing product where holes can’t be added.
Typical applications
| Industry / setting | How this product is used |
|---|---|
| Passenger car body panels | 3D emblem backed with automotive-grade VHB tape and pressed onto painted trunk lids or fenders where drilling would void the panel’s paint warranty. |
| Motorcycle fairings and tanks | Adhesive-backed badge applied to curved plastic fairing sections and tank shrouds where the panel is too thin to drill or rivet. |
| Recreational vehicle and trailer skins | Emblem stuck to the aluminum or fiberglass sidewall skin, avoiding fasteners that could let water into the wall’s insulation layer. |
| Retail and display fixtures | Decorative brand emblem pressed onto glass or acrylic display cases where visible screws or rivets are not wanted. |
