Description
Weight matters on some housings, especially thin sheet metal or moving parts. Aluminum keeps this label light while still holding a clean engraved mark. A heavier stainless plate can add unneeded load in these spots.

Material and finish choices
5052 and 6061 aluminum are common grades, in anodized, brushed, or matte finish. Anodize thickness runs on the lighter side for this label format, keeping the surface thin. Anodizing also seals the surface before the mark is cut, protecting it from scratching.
Standard size guide
Typical sizes are 40x20mm, 60x30mm, and 80x25mm, at 0.2-1mm thickness. Custom shapes are cut to your drawing, and thickness can shift slightly if the part also needs to flex during mounting.
