Description
Outdoor equipment takes rain, grease, and rough handling for years before replacement. A stainless body holds up under that better than a lighter metal. Himgo laser-engraves or etches the QR code into 304 or 316 stainless, so the mark stays legible through repeated washdowns.
Sizes & thickness
Stainless QR tags run up to 1.5mm thick. Common sizes: 50x20mm and 75x25mm, sized to stay readable at arm’s length on larger equipment. Smaller formats fit tighter mount points. Any size cuts to a drawing.
Metals and finishes
304 covers most projects; 316 adds resistance where equipment sees washdown chemicals or coastal air. Brushed finish is the common pick — it hides handling marks and gives the laser a clean surface. Matte finish keeps glare low under a scanner’s light.
